Last week saw The Posse have a hard time scoring any runs in their two losses. The Fellowship lost a close one to St. Mary's 9-8 and then broke out the offense to hold on to a win against Hope Lutheran by the score of 16-13.

I heard from Danny today. The plan is to resume the season next Monday 9/29. The very first rainout games will be played that night and then we will play the following rainouts, including the Ike rainouts, on each of the next 3 Mondays after that. I have updated the schedule on the website to reflect the way I think it is supposed to go.

If the teams still want to play a tournament, Danny will put one together, otherwise he will give us a refund of some of our fee or apply the leftover to next season's fee.

Obviously Ike has put a dent in the softball schedule. I have no idea when we will be playing again. I guess if the field is in good shape and has power, then we will be playing this Monday night. We'll keep you posted.

The Goodfellas played the late games tonight and finally found some offense.....just not quite enough. In the first game against Clear Lake Baptist the defense is really what gave away the win. In a 13-12 loss, poor defense was likely responsible for 5 or 6 runs. That's frustrating. In the second game The Goodfellas came up as the home team in their last at-bat down by 8 runs. After a furious rally to get 7 runs on the board, Greg flied out with men on first and second to end the game in a 12-11 loss.

At the very least it was nice to see the bats come alive and put some runs on the board. Maybe next time the defense can hold as well and we can put some positive numbers in the win column.

NOTE!! Schedule changes were announced tonight. The rainout games will be played on the Saturday that we were originally going to play the tournament. Then the tournament will be held on the following 3 Monday nights.

All 3 FBCF Teams were in action on Monday night. In terms of wins and losses it wasn't too pretty, but there were some fun games and two FBCF "rivalry" games were played as well.

The Posse started off the night against St. Mary's and hung in there for several innings. After 4 innings it was a tied game at 3-3. Then after the fifth inning, The Posse was down 6-3. The final score ended up 12-4.

Next up it was Posse vs. Fellowship of the Swing. With a big opening inning, The Fellowship jumped ahead and stayed ahead, winning the game 8-4.

The Goodfellas were in action next against Baybrook Baptist. Only able to muster 3 runs, The Goodfellas lost the game.

The finale was The Goodfellas against The Fellowship. The Goodfellas came out swinging and were ahead for a couple of innings. But the offense bogged down as the game went on and The Fellowship came out on top 9-5.

So in the end overall the FBCF trifecta went 2-4 on the evening with The Fellowship pulling in the only two wins....and getting both of them at the expense of the other FBCF teams.
